Universe at War: Earth Assault has been the latest PC release to make our Gamespot Home Page. This Sega and Petroglyph title was released last Monday and the reviews are now in. It is the latest PC release that features a world where gamers can harvest, create and annihilate opponents. This game follows the same basic framework as seen in Command and Conquer, Starcraft or Age of Empires. There has been hot discussion about the final thoughts of this game. It received 8 out of 10 from IGN only because of in-game glitches.

I choose to feature this new title on the Gamespot Home Page because it would make for a great holiday gift for any PC gamer. This type of genre, to me is extremely entertaining. There are just so many things that you can control while building an army to destroy or defend. The story follows an alien invasion of earth. The worst part about this game as stated in a Gamespot forum is that the campaign is weak. The customizable mode will be fun for weeks on end though.
