The gamespot home page looks great, but after visiting I have more questions than I started with. I have two children, 4 and 6 year old girls adopted from China, so they are much smarter than I am. My older daughter is already a techie and loves to be on the computer. When I pick her up from aftercare at school she has often commandeered some older kid's game boy or other hand held gaming devise and is busy zapping aliens. So my question is this? She already has access to a computer in our house and finds all sorts of online games and learning programs (I help her find the later). Do I breakdown and buy her something like the Xbox 360? I searched for some information on this and found the gamespot home page. It looks like some pretty gruesome and violent stuff. Surly they have programs that are geared for the younger crowd? I will need to go to the gamespot forum and see if anyone has suggestions. From what I saw on the gamespot home page perhaps this is not the best unit for a young kid. The other question is whether it is better to nurture a kid's interests in such things or keep them away as much as possible. Well I guess I have my research cut out for me and I better get busy before Christmas.
