In today’s Xbox 360 gamespot review, I wanted to highlight a racing title by the name of Grid. Developed and published by Codemasters (brought us Dirt), Grid hit store shelves this past Tuesday and has since wowed gamers. I first took a look at this game after downloading the demo on Xbox Live. The first thing that I noticed was that the game resembled a Forza look but included different race types such as drifting.

There is car damage and the tracks seem real but the first thing that takes gamers out of the realm of playing an ultra-realistic race simulator is how fast cars can take turns. It is not an arcade racer either. Grid has a sprinkling of simulation mixed with arcade handling that creates a high-level graphic race extravaganza.

One of the coolest features of the game, which can be argued in the gamespot forum, is the ability to rewind crashes in a replay mode in order to get your car back into the race. Say you took a corner to fast and washed out into a wall, flip over to replay mode, rewind and slow down earlier to avoid the wreck. Pretty cool. Expect to see this title on the gamespot home page. I give this Xbox 360 gamespot title a 8 out of 10.
